Hi! My name is Carter and I am a guitarist from Melbourne. I have been a student of music for six years. My musical influences include progressive rock and metal, but I am experienced in and inspired by all types of music. My teaching style can best be described as fun, engaging and productive. My teaching philosophy is best described as goal-oriented, with goals set either by the student or myself if the student does not have their own goals. In my lessons, you can expect to learn anything you want! I am always willing to and interested in learning new things myself in order to teach students with interests outside of my experience. I like to tell my students to practice as much as they can, and that if they love playing music improvement is inevitable! My favorite thing about teaching is finding students who have real passion for their instrument and go on to perform. My biggest performance was Space Coast Music Festival in 2021 because of the huge turnout, but my favorite was playing at Electric Tide last May because it was the most musically impressive and high energy show I have played, in my opinion. My students love that I have a positive attitude and love teaching as much as they love learning. I primarily teach guitar, but I can also teach bass, drums, keys, and basic vocals. My approach as a teacher is to keep lessons as engaging as possible and help my students become the best musician they can be. Thanks for your consideration, I hope to meet you soon!
