Andrea Sándor, mezzo-soprano, hails from Sfântu Gheorghe, Romania. She earned both a Bachelor’s and Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Transilvania University of BraÈ™ov. She recently graduated with her second master’s degree in the same field from West Texas A&M University. Currently, Andrea is Part-Time Instructor at West Texas A&M University where she teaches music appreciation courses and applied voice lessons. Andrea is also an active performer, singing in the Amarillo Opera Chorus and working as a staff singer ar Polk Street Methodist Church. In operatic productions, Andrea was seen as the Sorceress in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas with the UniTBv opera department, Cherubino in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro with the AAMA Summer Program in Salzburg, Edith in Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance with the University of Mobile Opera program, and the Gingerbread Witch in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel as part of the Manhattan Opera Studio Young Artist Program in New York. Andrea also appeard as Veronique in Bizet’s Le Docteur Miracle and Nancy in Britten’s Albert Herring with WT Opera.

What to expect in my Vocal Lessons
's teaching focuses on building healthy singing habits. Lessons start with a short conversation where the instructor learns about the student, their background and experience with music. The lessons will contain vocal warm-ups and exercises which help to gain a better command of the voice, diagrams and demonstrations that explain the singing mechanism, and exercises that focus on diction, musical understanding and score study. Some exercises focus on building body awareness and trust in the voice. believes that the voice is a reflection of the soul, and she aims to direct her students into discovering the unique quality of their instrument.

Experience Teaching:
After some private teaching experience, Andrea started working as an instructor in August 2025. She is teaching applied voice lessons to Musical Theatre and Music Performance majors. She teaches students to have a healthy approach to vocal technique while also emphasising the importance of fine musicianship.
