I started playing piano when I was four years old, and music has been a constant part of my life ever since. Growing up, I trained in classical piano before discovering jazz, band, and percussion, which helped me develop both discipline and creativity. Some of my favorite memories come from long rehearsals, competitions, and learning how to lead as a snare captain — experiences that shaped not only my musicianship, but also my character. Today, I’m grateful to work as a full-time songwriter and recording artist signed to Columbia Records, but at my core I’m still just someone who genuinely loves making music. Teaching is especially meaningful to me because I remember what it felt like to be a student — the frustration of learning something difficult and the excitement when it finally clicks. I’m passionate about helping students build strong fundamentals while also discovering their own confidence and musical voice. I believe lessons should be structured and goal-oriented, but also encouraging and enjoyable. Seeing a student grow week after week, gain confidence, and take pride in their progress is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons
Students can expect structured, high-energy lessons focused on building strong fundamentals and real performance skills. We’ll work on stick control, rudiments, timing, dynamics, reading, and endurance — all while developing clean technique and confident sound quality. I emphasize precision and discipline, but I also make sure students understand why we’re practicing certain exercises, so they improve efficiently. As a former Lead Snare Captain with years of teaching experience, I help students prepare for auditions, competitions, and marching seasons while also building leadership and rehearsal habits. Whether you are brand new or aiming for an advanced drumline, my goal is to help you play with control, confidence, and consistency.
