I started involving myself in the world of music in the fifth grade where I was introduced to my current instrument, the saxophone. As I have gone through middle school, high school, and community college, the one thing that has been consistent has been my music. From being a drum major for two years at North Lincoln High School, to performing with Lenoir-Rhyne university in multiple large and small ensembles. I have never been able to love anything outside of music. My experience in the world of education falls into the marching band world where I am the “Woodwind Instructor” for the North Iredell High School bands. I have been working at NIHS since last year, providing guidance into ensemble music, solo music, and new notations for high schoolers. I am heavily involved in small ensembles such as Sax Quartets where I am the tenor saxophone player for the “Celedescent Sax Quartet” at Lenoir-Rhyne. I have also lead the North Lincoln Saxophone Ensembles and the North Iredell Saxophone Quintet.
