Chris is a lifelong musician with 30 years of experience playing saxophone and guitar. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Industry from the Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California, and he completed the music theory program at Santa Monica College. He has decades of live performance experience ranging from classical style, jazz, and rock, playing guitar, bass, piano, drums, organ, saxophone, and trombone. He has performed in wind ensembles, rock bands, and as a solo acoustic artist. He’s a songwriter in his spare time, using his years of audio engineering and production experience to perform, record, produce, and mix his own music.

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Learning fundamentals such as chord structures and scales, to chord progressions and applying music theory to better understand progressions. Learning songs, chosen by both student and instructor. As much as technicalities are important, it's also import learn songs we enjoy and want to play.
What to expect in my Orchestral Lessons
Starting with how to assemble the saxophone and adjusting mouth positions (embouchure), to scales, to lung and breathing development. Music will be from. a lesson book. To keep the learning fun, we'll also learn songs or works chosen by the instructor as well as the student as we develop the student's musical and technical skills.
What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons
We'll discuss song writing in detail, citing examples from both from the student and instructor. We'll discover the direction the student wants to go and build songwriter vocabulary to better understand how to express intent to other musicians. The student will learn not just how to structure a song and apply lyrics, but also basic music theory and active listening to better express their songwriting.
