Hello, my name is Anna! I have been playing the piano since age 4, taught by my Dad for about 12 years. In high school and college, I played the piano for multiple ensembles and sang in choirs including a capella. I LOVE music! I started teaching kids in my neighborhood when I was 16, and fell in love with sharing music with kids! It is so much fun to facilitate learning and watch kiddos fall in love with music. I continue to teach some of these students virtually since moving to the Kansas City area, and cannot wait to hopefully get back into some in-person teaching. My students love that I want them to play songs they enjoy--not just ones I pick all the time : I also encourage ear training by singing and using our hands to clap and count. My teaching philosophy can best be explained as encouraging others to grow through music, realizing its beauty and potential to bring joy to others!
