Hi, my name is Rori and I am a vocalist from McDonough, GA. I have been a student of music for 4 years. My musical influences include Eva Cassidy, Bon Iver, Renee Fleming, Isabella Colbran, and Stevie Nicks. I also enjoy playing guitar and piano. My teaching style can best be described as supportive. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I strive to create a learning environment that is safe, collaborative, and growth-oriented, where mistakes are part of the process and curiosity is welcomed. In my lessons, you can expect to learn strong foundational technique, effective practice strategies, and how to approach music with confidence and understanding. We focus on building skills step by step while developing musical expression and artistry along the way. I like to tell my students that progress is built in small, consistent steps — not overnight perfection. My favorite thing about teaching is watching a concept finally click and seeing a student realize they’re capable of more than they thought. My favorite performance was one where I felt fully connected to the music and the audience — when technique disappeared and storytelling took over. My students love that I’m encouraging, structured, and genuinely invested in their growth. I primarily teach voice, but I can also teach music theory, ear training, beginner piano, and music history. My approach as a teacher is to build strong technical foundations while helping students grow in confidence, independence, and artistry. Thanks for taking a look at my profile.
