I come from Tarija, Bolivia, a land where music is not optional, it is part of who we are. In Tarija, children grow up surrounded by cuecas, serenatas, guitar nights, and festivals where everyone sings. Music is how we celebrate, how we heal, and how we connect. I started singing as a young child at family gatherings, community festivities, and cultural celebrations. In Tarija, you do not wait for a stage. The stage is wherever people gather. That environment shaped my voice, my ear, and my confidence. Singing became natural, expressive, and deeply emotional for me. Tarija has a rich musical tradition, known for its poetic lyrics, romantic melodies, and strong vocal interpretation. Growing up influenced by that tradition taught me not only technique, but storytelling. In our culture, you do not just sing notes. You sing meaning.
