Hi, my name is Ashley and I am a musician from the Ohio Valley. I have been a student of music for 13 years. My teaching style can best be described as friendly, kind, and patient. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I know everyone is capable of loving, playing, and creating music. I am best at teaching beginner students, and I have experience teaching children basic musicianship. My favorite thing about teaching is watching students finally play, sing, or perform what we have been working on together. I primarily teach songwriting, but I can also teach piano, clarinet, and voice. My approach as a teacher is to get to know what a student likes to play, listen to, or create, and teach myself the materials that the students want to work on before lessons begin.
