Helen – Piano Instructor I am an accomplished pianist and dedicated music educator with over 40 years of piano performance experience and 17 years of teaching experience. Music has been a lifelong passion for me, and I take great pride in helping students discover both confidence and joy at the piano. I hold certificates from the internationally respected Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music London, England, and I have completed advanced piano studies through the The Royal Conservatory of Music Canada. My formal training has shaped my strong technical foundation, musical sensitivity, and commitment to excellence—qualities I pass on to my students. For 17 years, I have taught students in both private and classroom settings, including elementary and middle school environments where I instructed a variety of courses. These experiences have helped me develop patience, adaptability, and the ability to connect with different learning styles and age groups. My teaching style is structured yet encouraging. I believe in building strong fundamentals—proper technique, music reading, rhythm, and theory—while also making lessons engaging and enjoyable. Students can expect clear goals, consistent progress, and positive reinforcement. I tailor each lesson to the individual student, whether they are beginners just starting their musical journey or more advanced students preparing for exams, recitals, or auditions. In addition to teaching, I have performed piano for weddings, restaurants, and hotel settings, bringing professionalism and elegance to every performance. I also have 17 years of experience performing on steel drums, which adds versatility and creativity to my musical background.
