I started playing music when I was 12 years old. I began with playing guitar and then moved into learning and playing bass a couple of years after that. Then when I was in my mid teens I became interested in bluegrass music and began picking up the banjo and mandolin. Later in my 20s, I picked up learning and playing the piano. Ever since learning piano, I have used that in my church for numerous occasions. I have always enjoyed trying to expand my knowledge of each of these instruments throughout the years. As of 2023, I started playing banjo and some guitar in a local bluegrass band from Troutman, NC and have played many different venues with that group. Recently in February 2026 I began playing with another bluegrass band out of Lexington, NC also. With those two groups, I’ll play on average 30 to 50 shows a year. Music is a passion of mine and if I can share that same passion with others then that’s what truly matters to me. I want to be able to share my 20+ years of playing with others to help them achieve their dreams and goals of wanting to play an instrument. Music to me is a way to connect with others whether you’re playing in the living room or at a local small town venue or in a crowd of 1,000+. That’s why I want to share my knowledge with others.
