Hi, my name is Alex and I am a jazz pianist from Baltimore, MD. I have been studying piano for 8 years. My musical influences include classical music, jazz and Latin-American music, and from movies and videogames as well. My teaching style can best be described as adaptive towards the student and how to cater the lessons around them. In my lessons, you can expect to learn about classical piano, jazz piano, other genres of music, music theory, and compositional writing. I like to tell my students that learning piano can lead to many different pathways involving music, and that it is an entry point towards understanding music. My favorite thing about teaching is that I like to make my students have fun while simultaneously challenging them in a way where they can still be interested, and in a way where they want to practice to the point where it is fun to learn.
