I don't just teach music; I live it. As an active recording artist, producer and songwriter known as, I’ve navigated the industry from the ground up. Releasing hit singles like 'signal > noise' and 'bad mood' that have reached listeners worldwide. My sound is rooted in the moody, authentic vibes of dark pop and grunge, however i am well versed in a large variety of vocal styles that include, Disney, Folk, Country, Pop, EDM, Rap and Rock, and more. I bring that same 'real-world' energy into every lesson. I specialize in helping students find their unique 'vocal identity.' We won’t just run repetitive scales; we will dive into the songs you actually love, focusing on the techniques that matter: breath support, microphone control, and how to deliver a performance with true emotion. Whether you are a beginner finding your voice, or an aspiring artist preparing for a professional release or an audition for schools like Douglas Anderson or LaVilla, I provide the tools to help you sound like you, only better. I like to bridge the gap between 'singing well' and being an artist. I can't wait to help you unlock your potential.
Cassandra G. has over 8 years of music experience in the Jacksonville area.
Cassandra G. is proficient in and teaches Guitar Lessons, Vocal Lessons, Song Writing Lessons, Record Engineer Produce .What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Regardless of genre, every beginner starts with the C. "Quick-Start" system to get them playing music by the end of week one. The Big 8 Cowboy Chords: Mastering G, C, D, Em, Am, E, A, and Dm. These are the keys to 90% of the radio. The "Wiggle" Method: A specific drill to build muscle memory for fast chord transitions. Rhythm Roadmap: Learning to internalize a steady 4/4 beat before adding complex strumming.
What to expect in my Vocal Lessons
Whether a student is a total beginner or an intermediate artist, the core of every lesson focuses on sustainable, professional habits: Vocal Health & Anatomy: Understanding the "instrument" inside your throat to prevent strain and build stamina for long sets. Breath Management: Learning "belly breathing" and support so you never run out of air mid-chorus. Register Blending: Smoothing out the "break" between your chest voice and head voice for a seamless, powerful range. Performance Psychology: Overcoming stage fright and "social anxiety" by building a confident, authentic stage persona. I teach a variety of vocal textures, techniques and "micro-dynamics" for intimate, close-mic recordings. I also teach belts, and the iconic quiet-verse/loud-chorus dynamic, runs, and "forward" resonance for that bright, commercial radio sound, and even character acting through song.
Formal Education:
Independent Scholar / Homeschool Graduate High School Diploma – State of Florida 2008 Focus: Music Theory, English Literature, and Creative Arts. Developed an ear-based learning system through private tutoring, and independent study habits that now serve as the foundation for the C. Studios curriculum.
Private Education:
Performing Experience:
My mentoring is backed by years of live performance experience, ranging from intimate acoustic sets in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Jacksonville, Florida, to full-band shows in medium and small venues across the region. Having navigated everything from the quiet, close-up environment of a coffee shop to the high-energy demands of a full-band stage, I understand the unique challenges performers face at many levels.
Experience Teaching:
My history as a mentor started in 2022. I specialize in helping students bridge the gap between 'practicing an instrument' and 'becoming a creator.' I have guided aspiring vocalists, guitarists, and songwriters through the process of finding their own signature sound. My Mentoring Philosophy: I believe music should be intuitive. I was taught at a young age to navigate the studio and the stage by ear, I am able to teach my students how to internalize rhythm and melody in a way that feels natural, rather than clinical.
