Jason began playing guitar at the age of 15. Over the years, he developed his skills further by studying the greats and performing live. He gained performance experience in the Tampa Bay area by playing at such venues as Jannus Landing and with acts such as Brutality, Monstrosity, and Eulogy. Though Jason can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are metal, blues, and funk which had great influence on his style of playing. Jason loves music because it's a universal language and anyone can speak it, and loves teaching music because playing music is the best therapy in the world. What to expect in my Record Engineer Produce

Beginner - Intermediate

My teaching philosophy differs from a lot of conventional instructors. Rather than bombard you with theory and/or outdated songs I focus on using the music you like to teach you various techniques and theory that will make you a better player, and most importantly have fun while you're doing it. I'm well versed in many styles of playing and also have a very firm grasp in modern recording and production techniques. In short, whether its guitar, bass, songwriting ,or recording I can help you become proficient and give you the tools you need to succeed. On top of that you'll also be learning the skills you need to string up and tune your instrument as well as how to maintain it and set it up to play well. We will cover things like setting intonation, truss rod and action adjustments, adjusting your pickups for the best sound as well as general Instrument maintenance. We will also cover amp and FX settings so that you can sound like your favorite guitarist and/or bassist. It doesn't matter if your goals are to play music in your bedroom as a hobby or to be a professional musician and play in front of thousands of people. I'll give you all the tools you need to be a successful competent musician, songwriter, or producer.
