About Me

Hello, my name is Garrett. I am 22. I've played music my whole life, went to school for my BA Music Technology which I recently graduated with in December 25. During my degree program, I studied privately with a Yamaha Saxophone Performing Artist for 4 years and played in top-level groups such as the Wind Symphony Ensemble, Chamber Saxophone Quartet, and Spirit of the West Drumline/Pep Band for 4 years! I plan on attending graduate school in the coming future, but I am looking to teach students interested in the performing arts, composition, and music production which I've studied and experienced rigorously for the last 5 years. I have written a number of pieces for ensembles and groups, and I am continuing to practice and study on my own until I attend grad school. In the meantime, I also create content on social media to share my love for music. My teaching approach follows the basis of the everchanging industry in music. A lot of things have become less important to the growth and success of aspiring individuals. This means I am an advocate of the music fundamentals, but I will not ignore small details that may benefit a student based on their character and skills! Each student is different and will therefore be taught differently to meet their needs. My primary teaching subjects are:

-Saxophone Classical

-Percussion

-Music Production Mixing and Mastering, Sound Design, DAW Software

I will teach the following if a student has a very strong desire to pursue it though it is a complex and rigorous subject:
