My name is Monet Heyward, and I am a passionate guitar, piano, vocal, and drum instructor offering engaging online music lessons for students of all ages and skill levels. With over 20 years of playing experience and 10 years of teaching experience, I love helping students discover the joy and confidence that comes from learning music. I began playing piano at the age of 16 and have since developed a strong foundation in worship, acoustic, and pop music. Throughout my musical journey, I have performed live, served on worship teams, written and recorded music, and led worship for women’s and youth retreats, alongside teaching private music lessons. My background in ministry, performance, education, and teamwork has shaped a teaching style that is encouraging, structured, engaging, flexible, and fun. In my online guitar lessons, piano lessons, vocal lessons, and drum lessons, I focus on helping students build strong musical fundamentals while learning the music they love. Students can expect to develop skills in chords, technique, rhythm, music theory, and ear training, while also learning how to play their favorite songs. Each lesson is customized to match the student’s goals, interests, and learning style. I enjoy working with beginner through advanced students of all ages, and I am especially passionate about helping beginners build confidence as they start their musical journey. I also love helping students who want to play worship music or grow in their ability to serve on a worship team. I believe every student can learn music with the right encouragement and guidance. My goal is to create supportive, engaging online music lessons where students can grow musically, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love for music. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy leading worship, fishing, and working on my apparel business and nonprofit organization.
