About Me

Jorge has always loved music from an early age. He began his musical journey at 11 and has been playing bass since he was 13. He was taught by church musicians and family, took a semester of piano, and spent five years in orchestra playing double bass. He has also consistently played bass in a church setting nearly every Sunday since he was 13, giving him years of real, practical experience. His musical influences include worship music, Hispanic worship, gospel, Latin gospel, as well as artists like Paramore, Marcus Miller, and Victor Wooten. Jorge’s favorite thing about music is how it can take you somewhere and create a level of connection and synergy with others that’s hard to match anywhere else. He loves how music can move people. His favorite thing about teaching is watching someone grow in both skill and confidence as they begin to understand and accomplish things they once couldn’t.
