I taught myself "modern" guitar by listening to the radio or CD's and I used tabs. I never learned sheet music until I reached college

In college, I play the cello in our university's orchestra and opera. I also play the classical guitar as my primary instrument and in our guitar ensemble at the university. I have had 4 years of private lessons on the classical guitar

I have sung Beethoven's 9th Symphony, Carmina Burana and Alexander Nevsky with the Mobile Symphony and our university's choir. I have played cello in our university orchestra and string ensemble. I have had solo and ensemble performances on the guitar both through the university and privately managed events.

I have had a small cello studio for beginners for almost 2 years and I have had a few guitar students as well. I volunteer teach at my high school to help with the beginning strings class and with the guitar class.
