About Me

Anthony is an active musician and educator, now based in the Kansas City area. Coming from Des Moines, Iowa, highlights of his career include being Music Director & Conductor of the Ottumwa Symphony Youth Orchestra, and conducting for Yo-Yo Ma as part of the Civic Music Association’s centennial opening concert. He also performed as a cellist with the Ottumwa Symphony Orchestra, Fort Dodge Area Symphony, several churches throughout Des Moines, and the Drake Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, String Ensembles, and Cello Choir. Anthony has given cello and piano recitals, conducted pit orchestras, been regularly invited as an instrumental solo festival judge, and was the Show Band Director at Dallas Center-Grimes High School. He also enjoys arranging and composing his own music, and teaching 6th-12th grade Orchestra. Anthony earned a bachelor’s degree in music education, mastering pedagogy, and cello & piano performance. Anthony has a great passion for teaching students of all ages and enjoys helping everyone find their love for music.
