Contravious began playing bass guitar at the age of 8. Over the years, he developed his skills further by performing live. He gained performance experience in the gospel and RnB area by playing at such venues as the essence festival and with acts such as Calvin Richardson, Jailen Josey, The William singers, Joseph Robinson and chosen aggregation,etc. Though Contravious can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are gospel music which had great influence on his style of playing.
