About Me

Hi, my name is Julius and I am a percussionist from Middletown,OH. I have been a student of music for over 20 years. My musical influences include all types of genres of music and I also enjoy singing & producing music as well. My teaching style can best be described as visual & hands on so students can have a complete understanding. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I take pride in my students & in my work. In my lessons, you can expect to learn different techniques to improve on reading music as well as playing. I like to tell my students a goal set is a goal met. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing everyone improve from where they started. My favorite performance was when I was in my high school marching band we had the opportunity to perform at Disney World!! My students love that I can get them to improve in a short amount of time. I primarily teach drums, but I can also teach any percussion you can think of. My approach as a teacher is to make sure my students improve on their reading music & playing skills.
