About Me

Hi! My name is Kaden, and I am a guitar NERD born and raised in NYC. I have been a music student myself for about 23 years now. I hold an Associate's in Music Recording Technology, a Bachelor's in Music Composition with a minor in Guitar Performance, and am currently obtaining my Master's in Sonic Arts and music technology. I started my journey as a musician initially with the clarinet and have classical training in guitar performance. My musical influences include Joe Pass, Michael Scofield, Fred Again, Hozier, and RAYE. I also enjoy music production and audio engineering. My teaching style can best be described as collaborative. I feel that I have learned the most when I was an active participant in my learning. I want to tailor each lesson to your needs, and play with you rather than just rattle off a bunch of exercises and tell you what to do. I believe that music is fundamental and should be accessible to everyone. In my lessons, you can expect to find fun ways to incorporate core technical exercises into everyday functional music pieces, learn the fretboard and finger dexterity and independence, and read sheet music and tabs. I primarily teach beginner and intermediate students, but I can also teach more advanced techniques and skills like pentatonic and modal soloing. What to expect in my Guitar Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

A well-rounded curriculum of theory and standard repertoire (in the genre of the student's choice). Beginners can expect to learn the basics such as note and fret names, basic open chord voicings, and the CAGED method. Intermediate students can expect to learn more practical uses of technical exercises and how to apply them to real life scenarios. Students will also learn how to create a practice routine that works for them-after all, it is about how you practice, not how long!

What to expect in my Record Engineer Produce

Beginner - Intermediate

To learn the basics of the DAW of their choosing-I am proficient in Pro Tools, Logic Pro, and Ableton Live, but can always help with other systems. Students will learn how to create clean and clear audio recordings using the equipment they already have. Students will also learn about gain staging, ADSR, mixing, and various plug-ins, including compressors, reverbs, and delays, and how to use them properly.
