About Me

Hello, my name is Taylor and I am a music teacher in the greater Atlanta area! I am originally from Nashville, TN and moved to Georgia 5 years ago. Prior to moving here, I performed at Dollywood Theme Park in many of their shows. I currently sing with my piano and guitar at hotels, restaurants, and events! I also participate in musicals around Atlanta! I have been a student of music from the age of 6 years old. My musical influences include Dolly Parton, Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson, Taylor Swift, Chris Stapleton, and Kacey Musgraves. In school, I studied vocal performance and songwriting and put both to use every day! My teaching style can best be described as a facilitator and demonstrative. My teaching philosophy can be best expressed by saying that I teach from passion, so students will want to learn from their own passion. In my lessons, you can expect to develop a love of music and have the desire to motivate yourself. I like to tell my students you have the answers within, you just have to trust your knowledge and ability. My favorite thing about teaching is sharing a passion for music. What to expect in my Guitar Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

Students can expect to learn how to read music, play chords, scales, and different finger picking styles. They will follow a book that teaches each of these things. We will also work on aural training in addition to reading music.

What to expect in my Vocal Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

Students can expect to learn proper technique to ensure healthy singing. They will learn fundamental elements that support all singing and also specified techniques for different styles. They will have the choice to learn songs they want to sing and perform.

What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

Students will learn the fundamental elements to songwriting including lyrics, melodies, and accompaniment. They will learn organizational styles and find what works best for them when writing. There will be different prompts each lesson to inspire creativity along with student\'s personal requests.
