About Me

Hi, my name is Trevor and I am a music director-instructor and songwriter-producer, originally from NYC. I have been a student of music for almost 30 years. My musical influences include musicians and performers such as Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones, Michael Jackson and more. I also enjoy singing from time to time. My teaching style can best be described as patient, supportive and clear. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I try to provide instruction that I wish I had growing up as a young musician. In my lessons, you can expect to learn concepts such as music theory, the Suzuki method and sight reading. One of my favorite things about teaching is watching concepts and the skill of playing the instrument connect for the student; seeing them light up with pride and joy always warms my heart.
