About Me

Hi, my name is Nikki and I am a musician from Walton, Georgia. I have been a student of music for 12 years. My musical influences include Tchaikovsky and I also enjoy lyrical ensemble pieces. My teaching style can best be described as immersive! I love to make sure my students know the WHY behind doing things a certain way--not just the HOW. In my lessons, you can expect to work hard on foundational skills that can be built upon as your skill level increases. I like to tell my students that their performance is not a reflection of who they are. I love to help my students build confidence in themselves and their abilities because I find that their learning increases exponentially that way. My favorite thing about teaching is the "aha!" moment. When a concept my student is struggling with finally clicks with them, I feel so fulfilled. My students love that I am goofy and outgoing, while also remaining supportive and focused on growth. I primarily teach beginners, but I can also teach intermediate/advanced players.
