I'm Chauncey, a classical singer with 10 years professional performing experience with 2 years teaching experience. I received my Masters in Music in Voice from New England Conservatory and was a Performance Diploma candidate at Jacobs School of Music where I sang the titular role in Verdi's Falstaff. I have sung professionally with Opera Saratoga, Virginia Opera, and Sacramento Phil & Opera. I now maintain an active performance art practice centered on voice, listening, and interdisciplinary collaboration, including an audience-centered sound installation exploring acoustics, active listening, movement through space, and listener-performer connection. In my voice studio I prioritize honing the individual sound of each student while fostering an environment of curiosity for repertoire and expression, and a deepening of understanding and love for the voice and what it can do. I work with each student to achieve their own personal goals. I see myself as a guide as opposed to strict instructor.
