About Me

Hi! My name is Veda, and I am a professional flutist located in Carpentersville, IL. I hold a master's degree in concert performance and music education from the Saint-Petersburg state Conservatory. I am a laureate of multiple international competitions: • Master prize and best Bach performance special award, Bach international music competition, London, November 2024 • Grand Prix in the category “Contemporary music” and special prize for excellent technique, “UK International Music competition” London, February 2023 • 1st place, “Kingdom art stars” competition, London, February 2021. I have performed solo, in ensembles and in orchestras for the last 7 years. I have given private lessons to students of all ages and skill level for the past 5 years. I also have a bachelor’s degree in psychology, which gives me unique insight specifically into teaching strategies. I am ready to teach people of all ages and skill level. Whether you are playing your first notes, learning the flute part for middle school or high school band, preparing for a competition or for an audition into a music school, or picking up the instrument after many years-I am happy to help share my knowledge and love for the flute with you!

Working on tone, hand position, dynamics, breathing breath supoport, embouchure. When the basics are done well, we can start exploring different styles of music, phrasing and musicality.
