Hello I am Jasper. I am a sound recording major at Duquesne university and am a professional bass guitarist. I have had a strong passion for music my entire life and have taken music lessons since I was 6 years old. I gravitated from piano/guitar to bass guitar because my band needed a bass player and haven't looked back since. I am a fan of all genres of music but gravitate towards EDM and metal. A few of my favorites are Slipknot, Nirvana, Meshuggah, and George Winston to name a few. In my free time I like to be outside, watch scary movies, and go on long drives. I enjoy teaching because I am very detail oriented and bass guitar is an instrument that requires a lot of nuance. You typically are only playing one note so it better sound good right? With my students, I will cover everything from finger technique, muting with the left and right hand, and consistent articulation to dynamic contrast and slap. If you would like to learn bass guitar while developing a rock solid foundation in the instrument I am the teacher for you.
