About Me

Ryan began playing Guitar and writing songs at the age of 14. Over the years, he developed his skills further by attending Pellissippi State Community College as a Guitar Major, being a member of the Pellissippi State Guitar ensemble and Bluegrass ensemble. He gained performance experience in the Knoxville area by playing at such venues as WDVX Blue plate special, Open Chords Stage, a weekly Performance at Union Place bar and Grill, IBMA Festival in Chattanooga , and with acts such as Mountain Grass Unit, and Hardin Valley Strings. Though Ryan can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are Bluegrass, and Blues which had great influence on his style of playing. Ryan loves music because it unites people globally and loves teaching music because it encourages young people to get excited about learning in all areas of life.
