About Me

Hi, my name is Elisa and I'm a professional drummer originally from New Jersey. I'm a graduate of Berklee College of Music, where I earned a degree in Performance & Music Business. I've been studying and performing music for over 20 years, with a background in live performance, touring and music education. Throughout my career, I've had the oppourunity to tour internationally and perform with a widerange of artists, including Grammy-winning and Latin Grammy-winning musicians. I've also worked as a house drummer for Telemundo and continue to perform live across multiple genres. My teaching style is supportive, hands on and tailored to each student. I believe everyone learns differently, so I focus on building a strong foundation while keeping lessons engaging, practical and fun. My teaching philosophy centers around developing both technique and musicality, not just play the drums but understand how to feel and connect with the music. In my lessons, you can expect to learn everything from rudiments and timing to full drum set coordination, grooves, fills and playing along with real music. Whether you're a beginner or more advanced, I'll meet you where you are and help you grow at your own pace. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing students build confidence and have those "aha" moments when things start to click. Watching someone go from unsure to comfortable and expressive behind the kit is incredibly rewarding. One of my favorite performance experiences has been playing live and connecting with an audience in the moment, theres nothing like the energy of a great show and the feeling of being locked in with a band. Theres nothing like being locked into a groove and creating a moment that people can feel.

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons

Beginner -

In my beginner guitar lessons, students can expect a supportive, step-by-step learning environment designed to build a strong foundation from the ground up. We focus on essential skills like proper hand positioning, basic chords, strumming patterns, timing, and simple songs so students can start making real music right away. I emphasize clear, practical instruction at a comfortable pace, making sure each concept is understood before moving forward. Lessons are engaging and encouraging, helping students build confidence, develop good habits early, and enjoy the process of learning guitar in a way that feels fun and achievable.

What to expect in my Drum Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

In my lessons, you can expect to learn everything from rudiments and timing to full drum set coordination, grooves, fills and playing along with real music. Whether you're a beginner or more advanced, I'll meet you where you are and help you grow at your own pace.
