About Me

Meghan Louise Taylor is a classically trained professional singer, actress, voice and music director, producer, casting director, and music educator based out of Beacon, NY. She holds her Bachelor’s of Music and Master’s of Arts in vocal performance respectively, from the University of Georgia and the Royal Academy of Music in London, UK. Meghan offers lessons in singing from beginner to professional and trumpet beginner. Singing lessons include performance technique as well as vocal/ musical technique-the same way trumpet lessons include musicality as a part of the lesson plan. Philosophically, Meghan firmly believes it is her job as a teacher to give students a fun and uplifting environment to build a safe and healthy vocal foundation or music theory foundation to then help them pursue and explore whatever path they choose! For previous students this has included goals in the genres of pop, rock, folk, jazz, opera, and musical theatre. Most recently one of her students obtained a coveted BFA Musical Theatre placement at the University of Chichester in England while another was cast in the cartoon Goat Girl on Cartoon Network UK. As a singer who felt pidgeonholed and pushed into pursuing a one track approach early on in her career, Meghan refuses to think that there is one single path for every musician/ performer!
