Conor began playing guitar at the age of 16. Over the years, he developed his skills further by enrolling in Guitar Performance at Musicians Institute Online. He gained performance experience in the Minneapolis St. Paul area area by playing at such venues as Social Cider Werks, 11 Wells and Spirits and auditioned with acts such as Shredding Flanel and Sawyer's Dream. Though Conor can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are folk and blues which had great influence on his style of playing.Conor loves music because there is always something new to learn and loves teaching music because it's fun. What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
Upon booking you will hear from me to schedule your first lesson. I will have all the materials you need to get started. I can teach in person at your house or mine or over zoom. The lesson will last one hour and we will meet weekly. In lessons we will explore Guitar Method books 1, 2 and 3. A student can expect to learn the basics first. If you already have a background in music I will meet you where you are at. The longer a student is in lessons, the more difficult the material. I'll make suggestions about practice routines, so you don't get stuck learning something that your not having fun with. Music is a language that is also a form of expression. My teaching style is laid back, but professional. Lessons should be fun and I hope I can share with you what I've learned playing and teaching.
