Hi there! I’m Sarah, I’ve been a student of music for 25 years, beginning vocal lessons at a very young age and continuing through adulthood. I opted not to pursue my dreams in musical theater or classroom music teaching & got a boring ole degree instead, though I did take as many music courses in college as I could. My primary focus is on basic structural vocal training, but the term basic doesn’t mean “easy”. I believe that you can build upon basics at any skill level, much like an anatomy or still life class can improve any seasoned artist. The ability to actively control a good voice is literally the step that pushes you through to greatness. I’m also an avid musical theater singer and enthusiast that can teach both theater style singing AND acting within the song with both vocals and body language. I’m open to both ongoing clients and temporary clients who want to polish a song for a performance or audition and can even help with theater resumes and applications.
