I’ve been a musician most of my life, and I’m still as obsessed with it as ever. On guitar, my world lives at the intersection of jazz, blues, and neo soul. I’ve put in serious time with jazz harmony, shell voicings, extended chords, and standards, but what really lights me up is how all of that theory bleeds into something soulful and expressive. Bass is where I get to lock things down. Understanding the low end changed how I hear everything else, and I bring that full-picture perspective to how I teach both instruments. On the production side, I’m fluent in DAW-based production across Ableton, Logic Pro, and FL Studio, and I also get hands-on with hardware including the MPC One+ and SP-404. I love the tactile side of music-making: chopping samples, building beats, and arranging ideas into something that actually hits. I also perform regularly in live settings, which keeps me honest. There’s a big difference between knowing something and being able to play it when it counts, and I want my students to get there too.
