Ryan began playing guitar at the age of 12. Over the years, he developed his skills further through formal classes and self teaching. He gained performance experience in the Harrisonburg area by playing at such venues as Pale Fire Brewery*. Though Ryan can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are folk, alternative, and rock which had great influence on his style of playing. Ryan loves music because it brings people together and loves teaching music because it is a privilege to be able to share that with others.
