Hello everyone! My name is Sharita Ashley, but my students call me Miss Rita. I’m a vocalist, songwriter, performer, and worship leader with over 10 years of musical experience, currently pursuing a music degree with a minor in professional writing. My background is rooted in gospel, R&B, soul, pop, and jazz, and I enjoy working across a variety of genres. I love helping students find their voice and build confidence in a supportive but growth-focused environment. I always remind my students that you don’t have to be perfect to be powerful, just real and willing to grow. I teach vocal performance, artist development, and songwriting, as well as basic music theory and piano for songwriters.
