My name is Ryan but I do prefer to be called Hyun. I have loved music since childhood and hearing melodies and tunes in my head have always sounded so profound and beautiful. I have a sweet spot for soft and gentle melodies. I am quite proficient and quick to understand situations and assist in learning since I have also had difficulties in studying but quickly adapted. I enjoy playing music and learning new songs, I enjoy teaching others about music and the beauty of it. I'd love to one day create my own music and show the world someday.

What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
Every lesson starts with connection. I like to break the ice, get to know who you are, what music you enjoy, and what inspires you creatively. From there, I’ll get a feel for your current skill level, whether you’re completely new to piano or already experienced, so we can build lessons that fit you personally. My goal is to create an encouraging and comfortable environment where learning feels exciting, not intimidating. We’ll work through exercises, technique, creativity, and musical expression at a pace that helps you grow with confidence. One thing I always tell my students: enjoy yourself. Music should never feel like a burden unless you choose to challenge yourself that way. Piano is an opportunity to express emotion, creativity, and personality, and I want every student to feel free to explore that without fear of making mistakes. Questions are always welcome, curiosity is encouraged, and progress is something we’ll build together step by step.
Formal Education:
I have completed two years of college studies in Music Performance and Music Theory, where I developed a strong foundation in piano technique, musical interpretation, and music fundamentals. Alongside my formal education, I graduated high school with excellent academic achievement, reflecting my dedication, discipline, and passion for learning. My goal as a piano teacher is to create a supportive and engaging environment where students can build confidence, develop their musical skills, and enjoy the learning process at their own pace.
Private Education:
I spent four years studying piano through private instruction, where I built a strong foundation in technique, musicality, and performance. Working closely with a private teacher gave me valuable one-on-one learning experience and helped shape my understanding of personalized music education. I later continued my musical education with two years of college studies in Music Performance and Music Theory, further developing my skills and knowledge as both a pianist and instructor. I strive to create lessons that are engaging, patient, and adapted to each student’s unique learning style and goals.
Performing Experience:
I have 4 years of performing experience, playing recitals and in studios. I have also gone out with my college jazz band and played in social spaces.
