About Me

Hi, my name is Terrance, and I am a guitar instructor from Florida. I have been a student of music for over 35 years. My musical influences include classic rock, blues, jazz, jam bands, and acoustic artists, and I also enjoy songwriting and music production. My teaching style can best be described as patient, encouraging, and hands-on. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I believe every student learns differently, and lessons should be tailored to each person’s goals and pace. In my lessons, you can expect to learn technique, rhythm, lead playing, chord progressions, music theory, improvisation, and how to play your favorite songs. I like to tell my students that progress comes from consistency, not perfection. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing students gain confidence and realize they can play music they once thought was impossible. My favorite performances were when I was playing live for a huge crowd and feeling the energy of people connecting through music. My students love that I make lessons relaxed, fun, and easy to understand while still helping them improve quickly. I primarily teach guitar, but I can also teach beginner bass, songwriting, and basic music theory.
