Hi, my name is Valerie and I am a vocalist, performer, and music educator from Central Florida. I have been a student of music for over 15 years. My musical influences include choral music, musical theatre, jazz, contemporary a cappella, film scores, and classical vocal literature, and I also enjoy songwriting, arranging, and performance-based storytelling. My teaching style can best be described as energetic, encouraging, and student-centered. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I believe every student is capable of growth when they feel supported, challenged, and inspired. In my lessons, you can expect to learn healthy vocal technique, musicality, performance skills, confidence, and how to connect emotionally to music in an authentic way.
