Lillian is a passionate musician with over three years of guitar, piano, and voice experience. She’s written her own music and produced several albums as well. Currently, she’s working towards a Bachelors of Science in Recording Arts at the University of Colorado. Her favorite thing about music is the feeling that it creates. Writing songs and expressing emotions through those songs is what got her so hooked on the art. She welcomes any beginner student who wants to learn and love music like her. Her teaching style is fun and laid-back, so get ready to laugh through the lesson!

What to expect in my Bass Guitar Lessons

Beginner -

In Lillian's bass guitar lessons, students will understand how to hold the bass and function the amp along with it. They will learn how to warm up the muscles in the hand and be able to recognize notes of the major scales on the fretboard. Students will learn how to read tablature and how to play along with any chord progression. Additionally, students will have the ability to play along side their favorite songs.

What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons

Beginner -

In a lesson with Lillian, you will learn basic hand technique, posture, and dynamics when playing the piano. You will be taught the notes of the piano and the fingering position of each major scale. Students will have the ability to recognize notes on the staff and where those notes are on the piano/keyboard. You will learn how to play and read rhythm as well. Lillian will teach you how to play chords and the position of those chords on the left and right hand. She will provide simple sheet music melodies for you to read, notate, and play. Lesson with Lillian are fun and laid back, so be prepared to laugh and play along to your favorite tunes.

What to expect in my Record Engineer Produce

Beginner -

In a lesson with Lillian, you are taught how to set up a mic, gain stage the signal coming out of the mic, record instruments, and navigate the digital audio workstation. You will be able to learn the basic mixing and recording skills of either Logic Pro or GarageBand. When learning with Lillian, she will encourage you to record any type of song or instrument style of your choice. She will guide you on what is basic practice in audio production and what you can do creatively outside of the box.

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons

Beginner -

Students are taught warm up exercises for the hands to get started. They are introduced to the anatomy of the guitar and proper technique for holding the guitar. When taking lessons with Lillian, you will be able to read tablature, find the major scale on the guitar, play easy chords, and strum different patterns. We will explore beginner guitar music theory as well. a fun and extra bonus, Lillian will teach you how to play along with your favorite songs.

Formal Education:

Lillian is currently a sophomore in Recording Arts at the University of Colorado, Denver. She's taken many piano lessons, guitar lessons, and audio production courses.

Performing Experience:

Lillian has performed more than 10 shows as an electric guitarist in the band of Heather's the Musical. She's also performed at many open mic nights in Denver and in the Springs.
