Orchestral Lessons
Home
Hi, my name is Diego, and I am a Music Education major from The University of Central Oklahoma. I have been a student of music for close to 10 years. My musical influences range from Mexican Regional Music, like Ariel Camacho, Javier Solis, more modern Corridos. But I also enjoy listening to violinists like Nathan Milstein, and watch twoset violin on YouTube. Since I don't really have much of a teaching record I can't say for certain what my teaching style is like. But as long as the student is ready and able to practice outside of lesson, in my experience as a student you can only learn and take away so much from a lesson as long as you practice outside of the lesson and add on your own ideas from what you were given. In my lessons, you can expect to learn to be more conscious about your basics and how to better yourself. I can't promise that I will be the best teacher, but I can definitely try my best, we will together. During my time with the after school program El sistema we were able to play along side the marching band in OU, that was a great memory and opportunity. I primarily teach classical, but I can also teach some basics in Mariachi performance too, also providing music. My approach as a teacher is to meet you at your level and provide feedback on how you could improve and different ways that might happen. Thanks for taking a look at my profile. Hope to meet you soon!
