Laura has always loved music from an early age. She began playing music as a child and went on to earn both a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music Therapy while studying voice, guitar, piano, percussion, and euphonium. Her musical influences include classic rock, worship music, folk, musical theatre, and singer-songwriters who use music to tell meaningful stories and connect with people emotionally. Laura’s favorite thing about music is its ability to bring people together and create connection across all ages and backgrounds, and her favorite thing about teaching music is helping students discover confidence in themselves while developing skills they can truly enjoy for life. One of her favorite teaching experiences was working with students of all ability levels through schools, community programs, and therapeutic settings, helping each student find success in their own unique way.
