About Me

Hi, my name is Kristen and I am a singer/performer from Maryland. I have been a student of music for over 30 years. My musical influences include Whitney Houston all the way to Leontine Price, and I enjoy musical theater. My teaching style can best be described as technical and easily applicable. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying “come what may, there’s always a way”. In my lessons, you can expect to learn modern techniques, everyday vocal, warm-ups, what songs that best fit your voice, what can strengthen your voice to grow into the range and style that you desire. I like to tell my students the more work you put in the better your results will be. My favorite thing about teaching is witnessing a students growth. My favorite performance was performing in The Lion King on Broadway. My students love that I can sing all different genres. I primarily teach musical theater, pop and opera, but I can also teach jazz or R&B.
