Ben has always loved music from an early age. He began playing piano at the age of 6 and continued his education by pursuing percussion in high school and studying music production at the University of North Texas. His musical influences include Miles Davis, The Beach Boys, and Steve Reich. Ben's favorite thing about music is the sharing of it through community, and his favorite thing about teaching music is watching the progression of a student as they begin to understand and apply concepts. One of his favorite teaching experiences was teaching a patron at the UNT soundbox about modular synthesis and seeing the signal flow click with them, allowing them to individually create patches and experiment. When taking lessons with Ben, you can expect a diverse range of knowledge and personal care for the student's craft.
