Hello, my name is Angela, and playing piano has been an important part of my life for 53 years. I have completed formal piano instruction, taught piano for over 10 years, and played for schools, churches, college choirs, weddings, etc. for 40 years. Teaching others to learn music skills and develop a love for playing the piano is a true joy for me! I am also a certified special education teacher. My goal is to help each student work at his/her individual pace and use his/her individual gifts to develop musical skills.

What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
A typical lesson would include a warm-up, working on an assigned piece in a course book, working on a student choice piece, and reviewing a music theory assignment. Every student is taught with priority on individual learning needs and fostering a caring student-teacher relationship. Students should expect to have a consistent practice time at home in order to progress. I truly desire to encourage and support each student in his/her musical growth.

B.S. and Master’s Degrees in education
Private Education:
Piano instruction from certified music/orchestra teacher and from a private university professor of music
Performing Experience:
Church instrumentalist for 40 years, accompanist for elementary/high school/college choirs, various community events, recitals, formal musical competitions

Public school special education teacher for 25 years, private piano instructor for over 10 years
