About Me

Hi, my name is Marlee, and I am a vocal music instructor from Georgia, and recently moved to Texas! I have been a student of music for 6 years. My musical influences include jjazz-ArethaFranklin to ppop-Adele and I also enjoy all rock music as well as ttheater My teaching style can best be described as hands on. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I always strive to ensure confidence in my students. In my vocal and songwriting lessons, you can expect to learn many skills from belting to how to write a popular song. I like to tell my students to not think too much about what they are doing and have fun! My favorite thing about teaching is seeing little “light bulb” moments. My favorite performances have probably been any time I have sang with the jazz band where I went to college. My students love that I can teach them easy ways to understand what they have to do. I primarily teach vocal music, but I can also teach music theory, songwriting, guitar, piano, and all instruments at an entry level. Thanks for taking a look at my profile. Hope to meet you soon!

I have 3 years of intense performing experience as I am a music major who is finalizing her Bachelor's degree. I perform approximately 2 times per month, so I am able to teach how to carry oneself in a proper manner as well as overcoming stage fright!
