Hi, my name is Christopher and I am a multi-instrumentalist from West Virginia. I have been a Teacher of music for 27 years. My musical influences include jazz, classical, psychedelic, and I also enjoy reggae. My teaching style can best be described as student centered. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I learn how my student learns before I begin to teach. In my lessons, you can expect to learn exactly what you want. I like to tell my students warm ups and posture will develop you into a monster player. My favorite thing about teaching is the "ah-ha!" moments. My favorite performance was playing a music festival in upstate NY in 2005. My students love that I am high energy and engaging. I primarily teach strings, but I can also teach percussion. My approach as a teacher is to let the student play through, taking notes on where to improve, and building on the strong points of the student. Thanks for taking a look at my profile.
