Hi, my name is Grainne and I am a violin performance major at McGill University from Foxboro, MA. I have studied music for 16 years. My musical influences include my mother and was first interested in violin after watching fiddle player, April Verch, perform. My teaching style can best be described as supportive, collaborative, and fun! My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I expect the student and potentially parents to be involved so that lesson time can be most productive. In my lessons, you can expect to learn technique, new pieces, and performance advice. My favorite thing about teaching is watching everyone progress in their own way. I primarily teach classical violin. My approach as a teacher is to build up confidence and expand knowledge of the instrument and repetoire. Thanks for taking a look at my profile.
