John began playing drums at the age of 15. Over the years, he developed his skills further by performing professionally at more than 200 venues and in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and North Carolina.. He gained performance experience in the Charleston, WV area by playing at such venues as the Galaxy 2000 and with acts such as Dirt Road Special, Rampage, and Phazes, Though John can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are rock and contemporary country which had great influence on his style of playing.
