About Me

Sydney is a classically trained cellist with over 11 years of experience in music performance and instruction. She has performed with ensembles including the Houston Civic Symphony and have experience working both independently and collaboratively in orchestral settings. Her background includes years of private study, performance preparation, music theory, and developing strong technical and musical foundations across multiple instruments. Sydney has experience with piano since she was born and provides beginner lessons with keyboard/piano. In addition to performance experience, Sydney enjoy helping students build confidence, creativity, and discipline through music. She works with beginners and developing students in both cello and piano, focusing on technique, musicality, and creating a positive, encouraging learning environment tailored to each student’s goals. Sydney loves to use Suzuki method for her preferred method of learning. It is a great foundation to start with and will translate well in to learning any piece you are interested in!
